Various research and priority programmes as well as systematic surveys of stakeholders in science and sport form the BISp’s key planning, decision-making and steering bases for research and knowledge transfer measures in high-performance sport in Germany that are funded by the federal level.

At the start of the application phase in 2020 the BISp therefore identified current research needs in order to be able to focus its research promotion on specific topics.
