Innovation projects are aimed at the development, use and/or review by way of example of the feasibility and impact of innovative products, methods and services. They seek to deliver new impetus for the sport in question. Innovation projects are exploratory in nature. The innovativeness of the object of the project is one of their key characteristics.

• Submission deadline: 15 September 2023
• Project term: 12 to 14 months
• Funding framework: max. 100,000 euros per association for one or more projects
• Applicants: Leading Olympic sports associations and the Disabled Sports Association via their authorised representatives (prerequisite: sufficient infrastructure and staffing levels, especially the availability of a full-time scientific coordinator/national science coach)
