Service research projects look at the short-term, urgent and sport-specific research and development needs of a leading Olympic sports association or the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS) with the aim of prompt, practical implementation.

Ideally, service research projects build on the applicants’ existing cooperation projects and scientific cooperations so that there is, generally speaking, no need for the scientific institution to launch elaborate administrative recruitment and hiring processes.

Applications for service research projects are submitted by universities or non-university research and development institutions in close cooperation with at least one leading Olympic sports association or a Paralympic sport.
