Sports-related spending by private households and the nature and extent of the population's sports behaviour are of central importance for the economic factor of sports. Against the back-drop of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, the sports industry is also facing special challenges. This report presents the results of the representative population survey conducted as part of the Sports Satellite Account. They show what changes have occurred in sports behaviour in 2020, which was under the particular influence of the Covid 19 pandemic, and what impact this has had on private sports consumption. The report focuses on "adult" individuals aged 16 and older.
